Communicating and Connecting:
Functions of Human Communication
Challenge:
Authors Donohue and Massi chose to outsource the design of their textbook, rather than use the publisher's offering, in order to improve sales at universities across the United States.
Solution:
A frosted glass approach with emphasis on graphic representations of verbal and
non-verbal lines of communication created a sense of professionalism and accessibility for the book. Transparency, lines of communication, and gestures effectively conveyed concepts of interpersonal communication. |
